Mother's Day 8. May 2016, creative BBQ at the Kieligers. An event for the whole family.

Review Creative BBQ at Kieligers on mother's Day, May 8 2016

Even though one had to wear at least several layers not to catch a cold on that pretty freezy Sunday and Mother’s day, the creative BBQ at Kieligers in Shelley was a big success and an extra friendly occasion to catch up. The gathering counted 42 adults and 21 kids and the crowd fitted perfectly in the beautiful as well as spacious garden of Kieligers.

As everybody brought own chairs and contributed yammie platters to share, all was set for a cosy and digestible BBQ.
But – hold on - it was far more than that. It was also a very creative and swiss BBQ!

When the bell rang everybody was welcome to listen, first to Ursula’s, secondly to Juerg’s practical introduction to their passions: the pottery (Ursula) and the woodturning (Juerg). Only the sheepish crackling of peeling some hot Marronis provided by Patrick Jeannerat could have interrupted them occassionally;-)

Not only the roasted Marronis distriubuted a feeling of swiss home, but also the real swiss Kalbsratwürste allowed everybody to enjoy some swissness that day Aldo was the BBQ master (behind the brand new BBQ of bought by Angelo), while Karl was responsible to bathe the sausages in the typical milk moisture. It was a real culinary delight!

After the professional introduction by Ursula and Juerg the interested people got to know the true promise either of pottery or woodturning. As time flew by, unfortunately not everybody, who was inscribed for an attempt session, could try it. Ursula and Juerg will offer to these ones a private lesson. There will come a further information via email for those people.
Anyway, some amazing pottery and woodturning artwork revealed and it was amazing to get in touch with both of these unique handcrafts.
At the kids pottery table a very lively atmosphere ruled the world and some really sweet-hearted pieces of handicraft arose

Then the same procedure as always: Kira proudly rang the bell to announce Lorenz’ speech to all attendees about the ongoing internal affairs of the Swiss Club.

The creative BBQ hosted one very special guest named Patrick Zoll. Zoll is a swiss NZZ correspondent, who tours around Australia in his mobile home. To get an insight of the Swiss Club of WA he was interested to catch up and to talk to some members at this event.

And every mother’s heart that day for sure was warmed by attending such a creative, satisfactory and cheerful event!
