Review of the Fondue – DO IT YOURSELF – Two-way success
Fondue lovers highly appreciated changing the venue for the event due to strong winds and rain showers for the past days. Gidgegannup would have been a rainy adventure for all of us. Thanks to Ursula and Marianne who welcomed us in their nest where Angelo's new decoration stuff took place. We all felt the Swiss spirit in Trigg.
At first, no one was present in the venue so we were a bit anxious if the last minute scheme would work but after 30 minutes, everyone started to arrive. Ruth helped everyone to get their Fondue and everybody gave a hand for the preparation. Heinz from Abhis Bread made a special collection of different breads to intensify the experience, which was the supplier's name got noticed, as requested. Successfully, everyone knew already how to make Fondue and probably willl try it at home since all Tiger-Ready-to-Eat Fondues were sold out.
It was mentioned during last year's big event and during the AGM, that all smaller events in the wishlist were already applied. The Fondue event was an intimate one where forty Fondue-lovers of all ages were present, which was easy to manage for the event team.
The Swiss spirit tunes found its way into our ears as the Alphorn blowers played between showers when the sun was out for a minute.
The second success to be mentioned was the aim to create an ambiance of interaction to get to know each other easily. How nice was that? Everyone had a good chat and laughters filled the air.
The club has grown so much over the last 2 years and it is now time get to know each other a bit more and I think the members enjoy an activity they can do together.
Would highly appreciate the initiatives of some of the participants who would open their doors in the future. Cynthia, Da Silva did offer her parents' home as a possible venue for the future events.
In summary, the participants who cooked their Fondue became bit more confident to make their own Fondue at home and new friendships arose by doing a friendly hug to each and everyone before going home.
