Sunday afternoon, Coffee, Cake and more…

with your Swiss Club members at the Steamhaus Café in Maylands.

On May the 7 th we enjoyed the first event which brought more than 30 Swiss to the Steamhaus! Our members liked the atmosphere, meeting new people and of course what appeared on their plates. Apparently the doughnuts with chocolate and other calorie friendly additions were a great hit!

The next meeting date is: Sunday 2nd of July starting from 1.00 pm onwards
The Steamhaus Café is really a different place with kids playing room, cosy corners for happy chats, and some good tables to play cards if you feel like it. Just bring your cards to play (klopf än Jass!)

So what is this new initiative about?
At the AGM the idea of having an opportunity for a friendly monthly gathering was greatly supported.
Your helpful committee members went into action and found the Steamhaus Café in Maylands that could accommodate our needs. Nadja Stewart Bachmann is Swiss and her Aussie husband David are happy to welcome the Swiss Club every first Sunday, every month to meet at their café. The first of these Sundays was the 7 th of May.

Nadja will offer her home baked cakes, coffee, babycinos, etc. as of 1.00 pm.
Their hot kitchen stops by 2.30, so if you want to have a lunch from their menu you should arrive not later than 2.00 pm. Steamhaus is a byo, meaning, you can bring along your favourite wine!

Have a relaxing afternoon, listen to other members experiences in WA, and enjoy social networking. The kids can bring their toys and use one of the special side rooms to play.

This happy gathering should end by about 5 pm, hoping that you have met some interesting Swiss that can become your new friends.

How do we get organised?

The Steamhaus Café can accommodate about 50 people. In order to make sure we are not overloading and Nadja has enough of her own freshly baked cakes ready, please let us know at what time you consider to arrive and with how many family members, by pressing this link.
